A Quartz Citrine is the yellow or golden variety of Quartz. The yellow color is due to the presence of Iron.Natural Citrine is usually pale yellow. Most Citrine in Market is heat-treated. Gem Quality is extremely rare. The only available sources are Brazil, Spain, Madagascar and Myanmar. |
In Nature, Citrine only develops as a pale yellow to lemon colored gemstone. When heated it can undergo color change from dark yellow to light brown. The Gemstone should be exposed to sunlight for a limited time only. |
