Citrine is the yellow or golden variety of Quartz. The yellow color is due to the presence of Iron.Natural Citrine is usually pale yellow. Most Citrine in Market is heat-treated. Gem Quality is extremely rare. The only available sources are Brazil, Spain, Madagascar and Myanmar. |
In Nature, Citrine only develops as a pale yellow to lemon colored gemstone. When heated it can undergo color change from dark yellow to light brown.
The Gemstone should be exposed to sunlight for a limited time only. |
