Most of the Colorless Topaz is irradiated and heat-treated to range of Blues. Some are so close to Aquamarine that one cannot distinguish with the naked eye.The Word Topaz is derived from the Sanskrit word " tapas " meaning fire.Brazil is the largest produce of Topaz followed by USA, Sri Lanka, Australia, Tasmania, Pakistan, Mexico and India. |

The Topaz is excavated from primary deposit or slightly downstream from valley floors. Their rarity is explained by Fluorine, (a major ingredient of topaz) which is scarce in the earth. |
